We are thrilled to announce that our new Twelve Inch Adapter has now reached Europe – and hopefully the U.S. very soon! The Adapter has already been available on the Australian market for a couple of weeks, and the response has been overwhelming.
The Design Process: From Bamboo to Cork
The Adapter, designed to showcase the vinyl record itself on the wall, has been a long time in the making. From the start, we wanted the Adapter to follow in the footsteps of its “big brother,” the Twelve Inch Original – made entirely from bamboo. Along the way, we created multiple prototypes, tested, adjusted, broke, and improved the design. In the end, we arrived at a surprising conclusion: the final version is not made of bamboo but of cork.
Using cork as the primary material has proven to be a great advantage. It provides stronger pull force and a softer surface, ensuring that the Adapter holds any vinyl record securely on the wall while protecting the record from damage.

What About Dust?
One concern we often hear from dedicated vinyl collectors is about dust. Many assume that displaying an unprotected vinyl record on the wall will cause it to collect dust. However, our tests reveal otherwise. Since the launch of the Adapter, we’ve had a vinyl record on display for the sole purpose of observing this issue. The conclusion is clear: dust primarily accumulates on horizontal surfaces due to gravity – not on a vertical wall display.

We are especially proud to use cork, a
natural material, which supports our long-term goal of sustainability. By 2025, we aim for our entire product line to consist of bamboo and cork products with “frustration-free” packaging that minimizes waste and reduces our environmental impact.
